Top 50 Album Tracks of 2011
Part IV
10 Britney Spears
Inside Out
"Won't you give me something to remember?"

Inside Out is by far one of the highlights of Femme Fatale.
09 Natalia Kills
Broke
"If I had a dime for every single time I should've said goodbye"

Broke is a beautifully emotional ballad produced by my favorite pop producer, Fernando Garibay. The song describes a heartbreak using money-references that connect to one of the central themes of the album, wealth.
08 Lady Antebellum
Heart of the World
"It only takes one true believer to believe you can still beat the odds"

The first time I heard
Heart of the World, I knew immediately that it was my favorite song of Lady Antebellum's career. The song's beautiful and interesting lyrics and deep meaning set it apart amongst the rest of Lady A's discography; the song essentially takes everything they've ever done correctly and puts it into one piece of work.
07 Natalia Kills
Love Is A Suicide
"It feels so surgical how you dissect every mistake I make"

Love is a Suicide is the second Fernando Garibay production to make its way into my top 10. The song's production is reminiscent of the song that first made me love Garibay,
Dance in the Dark. The song is incredibly well-written, and at times I find myself blasphemously questioning whether or not this song may even be superior to
Dance in the Dark.
06 Selena Gomez (and the Unseen)
We Own The Night
"When we are together it's the time of our lives"

We Own The Night is the ultimate standout on Selena's album; a wonderful, romantic song.
05 Adele
Turning Tables
"I won't let you get that close to me"

Turning Tables is a truely emotional ballad and is my second favorite Adele song, after
Set Fire To The Rain.
04 Lady Gaga
Heavy Metal Lover
"Let's raise hell in the streets, drink beer and get into trouble"

Heavy Metal Lover (the third Garibay-produced song in the top 10) was not initially one of my
favorites from Born This Way, but it grew on me. "I could be your girl, but would you love me if I ruled the world?" is one of my favorite parts of the entire album.
03 Beyonce
I Was Here
"The hearts that I've touched will be the proof that I leave"

I Was Here is my favorite Beyonce song. Perhaps it's just because it's a beautiful, touching song, or perhaps it's because I relate to its lyrics... Actually, it's probably both of those things that make me love this song so much.
02 Lady Gaga
Fashion of His Love
"I'm seeing all the signs from above"

Flawlessness of Godga's Love is one of those songs it seems you either really hate or you really love, and I
really love it. The song's lyrical structure is somewhat similar to
Born This Way's, which I believe is because they were written within a close period of time. However, this song isn't as overproduced as
Born This Way.
Fashion of His Love is easily the most romantic song Gaga has ever released, and including a bit of one of my favorite unreleased tracks (
Earthquake) didn't hurt.
01 Evanescence
Lost In Paradise
"As much as I'd like the past not to exist, it still does"

It would probably be presumptuous of me to call
Lost in Paradise the greatest song of Evanescence's career as I have not heard every song of their career, but I can confidently say that it's the best song of their album and one of my 3 favorite songs of 2011. The song is devoid of flaws in every way imaginable, and I love to close my eyes and turn the volume up high and just lose myself in the song's perfection. I can't wait to see what they come up with for the video.
So that's the end of my album tracks countdown... I'm going to post my top 15 albums and the special awards ASAP because I already have those almost completely finished. I've also decided not to do a music video, memorable events or artist countdown this year. For some reason, I completely lost interest in Best of 2011 after Christmas (as I was afraid I would), and so my plan for 2012 is to have most- if not all- of my material ready before Christmas.
I'll try to look through everyone's countdowns and comment again before the Best of 2011 threads close; I go back to school Tuesday, and class starts Wednesday, so we'll see if I have too much time on my hands or not enough.
