She killed it on that performance.
She was perfect, her breathe control, vocals(she surprised), her dancing, and her BOLDness, she started singing the "gay anthem" in front of millions. It was a moment.
I agree that it was a great performance. So underrated just because it wasn't some huge production like Paparazzi at the VMAs...

It didn't have her shock factor, but it was very good technically-wise.
That was good though. I don't think shocking always makes for a great performance. Sometimes (VMA 2009) it's amazing, other times (teal wig down there at MMVA 2011) it isn't
She should have used MTV(Japan) VMAs performance for the US(VMAs), or The Grammy Nominations ceremony as the VMAS(US) performance. That whole Jo skit was amazing on paper and she pulled off the first few minutes, the rest looked like she was hammered out f her mind.
The Jo performance was so sloppy Nothing on Paparazzi 2009. I think it would have been more memorable to a song like Scheisse. A song about female empowerment where she dresses as a man? I'm here for it. Was dumb to waste the idea on You and I. Same for the mermaid thing
