Sabine Lisicki has a lot of potential IMO, more than any of the others. Petkovic is too prone to injury.

I can't stand Petkovic from the little I know about her. Like really how did she just pop up in the Top 10 out of nowhere? I was seriously out of the loop last year Lisicki is also bad about injuries.

She's got a solid game, but it's nothing spectacular. I had her down as a power player before I saw her but her game isn't all that big. 2011 was a good year for her, but before that she was out for quite some time. She's going to miss out on the AO and she got to the quarter final last year so it will be interesting to see how she comes back from it. Last year was her breakthrough year, and many players crumble under the pressure of following it up.

True! Lisicki was out for about a year. She played great tennis during the grasscourt season, and she's shown flashes of it since.

I would love for the Wimbledon semifinals this year to have Serena, Venus (back in form hopefully), Kvitova, and Lisicki. I think it would be the most interesting semifinal line-up in a long time.

I think Venus will retire this year. She hasn't been a contender for a long time and now she's ill too. Serena will always be a factor, regardless of how she's playing. Whenever she's been written off she comes back with a bang. Even if people are disregarding her now, she's still the favourite for the AO. I want a player from the new generation to win it.

It's pretty odd that this year both Wimbledon and then Olympics are played in SW19.

BTW, do you think Serena and Venus will be allowed to play for the US team in the Olympics tho they haven't played lately any Fed Cup matches? According to USTA's guidelines, player has to participate in Fed Cup/Davis Cup in order to be eligible to play.

According to this article, the USTA are going to let Serena play if she plays in two ties this year. I don't know what Venus is going to do, but it's the Williams' sisters; they make the rules.

Didn't get to see much of yesterday's. I watched the first set of Radwanska/Mattek-Sands which was hilarious. Bethanie puts on such a confident front but she is SUCH A PATHETIC CHOKER. Glad she's out even if it does mean that flop with the nonexistent forehand or serve is still around.

Watson and Robson's thrashings were never in doubt. Azarenka only loses to people who can overpower her usually. Robson is just a mess of international proportions.

Loving Baltacha's loss. She's so irritating.
