The blonde ponytail was an irrelevant comparison unheard of outside the Internet world. As far Madonna's comments, everyone supports the underdog. Regardless of what people think of Gaga the public see a woman who is seemingly stopping at nothing to put her down. Of course this is going to be more beneficial than damaging.
