@Geez, I don't think it's fair to say that Janet placed low "when she was popular" as if that's a surprise. She hadn't really made her full impact yet. Think about it: the new teen pop wave was just cresting when the old list came out.

I'm not saying Janet will be placed higher this time. She probably won't. But a well-thought-out list would have her in the top 50. Seeing Cyndi Lauper above her on the old list is beyond insulting.
