Funny how that only applies to Mariah when "stealing" from Marilyn.
Madonna dismissed her similarities with Marilyn by simply saying they just had the same hair color and that she's alive and Marilyn is deceased. Mariah has NEVER denied or downplayed her inspiration from Marilyn. I believe Mariah also owns Marilyn's piano.
Marilyn is Mariah's fav. actress. Madonna has taken from Marilyn way more than Mariah has, but at least with Mariah it's an obvious influence rather than Madonna trying to pass it off as her own creation.
I don't know why people act like "homage" and "copying" are at totally opposite ends of the spectrum. To pay homage or use an artists work as inspiration you HAVE TO copy them to an extent. Copying isn't a dirty word.

Dance In The Dark is a beautiful song thats allot more original then some of the other **** pop girls are spewing out now-a-days. The only part that resembled vogue/madonna was the spoken interlude. Good thing madonna doesnt own spoken interlude in songs! fewf!
And Madonna only used Marilyn for ONE era. I love Gaga but she's been biting off Madonna since TFM.
She jumped ship to stealing from other artists after Marilyn.
And not really. The only Madonna V Gaga thing this era has been Born This Way Vs Express Yourself and everybody knows it's not a rip off.
