Christina Aguilera should have been in Ms. Fenty's place.
None of the girls on that list can pull that off like Christina did there. She rivaled Nina Simone there easily and her emotions poured through each lyric.
Out of those girls and I'm being the most open minded I can be here, I'd say Gaga. She doesn't have the best voice in the world, but her control and training really shines when she manipulates her voice to fit different genres of music. Seriously what can she not sing? I've heard her sing screamo metal, country, jazz, rap, rock, ballad, pop, and opera.
She doesn't do the bolded well though to be honest. Her voice works best with stripped down arrangements and acoustic settings, once you put her voice outside of that I don't think its that good in other genres or at the very least not nearly as effective.

Britney's voice compliments well with a lot of music actually. Just because she sings high and in a softer texture doesn't mean she hasn't shown herself capable of other kinds of singing techniques. I would say Britney's weakest genre is probably R and B. But she has done blues, soft rock, classic ballads, dance, reggae, and more effectively.

The problem is that her voice in both categories is really nothing special imo, it's more about the swagger she brings to the songs.
Ultimately I feel like we are talking about tone and conviction. I would say Rihanna's voice sounds well with nearly any kind of music under it.

Gaga's specialty is theatricality and her schizophrenic belting during her more insane songs are entertaining. She impressed me with acoustic renditions of her songs + the Tony Bennet duet.
That's exactly why I don't think she is that much stronger in terms of versatility she has just as many strengths as she has weaknesses in terms of having a specialty genre.
If that's you're opinion, then you clearly aren't educated in Kelly Clarkson performances. Unlike the rest of the pop girls, she actually has a #1 country music hit, as well as #1 on pop. She's been invited to sing classical music for the pope and Jazz music in honor of Tony Bennett. She won American Idol by singing a veriety of different genres, her most infamous being her covers of Areatha Franklin R&B ballads as well as Celine-dion type powerballads.. She headlined VH1 Divas in celebration of soul music. Became a temporary member of En Vogue to sing R&B music.
you can do different genres and still sound the same with all of them

never saw that before but it just gave me chills **favorites**
But who else could build a song off their voice entirely? Covering the instruments, bridge, Chorus, ext?
RIGHT. I can't even begin to fathom what stuff Bey hears in her head sometimes.
Then you obviously don't know Beyoncé. She can go from I Care to I Miss You back to back. She can do the toned down pop voice or the strong belting one.
He has a point, though.
The Sex On Cover Fire, while good, sounded much more like a gospelly pop ballad than an actual rock cover.
Dance is such a vague, vague, category.
The Edge of Glory and Government Hooker are both attributed as dance songs. They're soo different, though.
Single Ladies and Run The World don't really contribute much in terms of vocal versatility. They're more of dance-inspired R&B tracks. They still have that kind of flow to them.
Gaga has mastered pop, rock, jazz and dabbled in urban & country.
Dance may be a vague category to you, but not the way Beyonce sings it. She's the only one who can truly pull off a song like RTW or SL. All in all, my vote goes to her. She's definitely proven herself.. especially when she recorded an album in spanish better than her latino predecessor, Christina. Anyone can sing these genre's, its just about who pulls them off better. & vocally, it's Beyonce.

I forgot about Xtina, she's very versatile as well.

Nah, I Care totally exemplifies the oversinging I was talking about. I'm not saying it's bad or anything but its very...Beyonce. If you know what I mean.
You got me on I Miss You, though. Totally forgot about that song

But Single Ladies and Run The World isn't true dance music. It's just dance-inspired. It's just a rapid firing hip-hop song with a fast beat. It's the same technique and everything.
And for the record, no, Gaga is 100x better at Jazz and Rock.
