How would it be risky? It's an obvious smash. Trust me, when it is released, it will not do as well because the label waited so long.
Plus, why would fans dislike that song? Because it's more pop-sounding? Or because it has Rihanna on it? (not trying to shade her) I'm a Coldplay stan and it's my favorite song on the album so...
