Yeah, Black and Yellow got to #1 because of the Superbowl. It was probably the best #1 of 2011 though, and a massive hit anyway.
It was also the only hip hop song to get to #1 in 2011. There was Grenade, both Adele's #1s, and then about 10 generic electropop/dancepop songs which got to #1 that year, so Black and Yellow is much appreciated for the variety at least.
Black and Yellow always reminded me of Ridin' by Chamillionaire. Both such anthems!!!

The Superbowl gave it a boost on the week it got to #1, but it was successful without the Superbowl. It was climbing the charts for like 3 or 4 months before the Superbowl lol.
