I'm sure Greatest Thing will be at the top spot on iTunes thanks to Gaga, and then after 3-4 days will start freefalling and reach 30-40m on radio. End up selling 700k singles.
Not necessarily, maybe with the adult public. It would work very well for HAC/AC but not much for pop which is her home format. Like I said I don't think it's bad, but I personally just don't want one. Elton John is not my taste just as a commercial album full of Red-One tracks is not in your taste.
Elton John has amazing and iconic songs. I think a real ballad by them would be great and create a lot of buzz.
And yet BTW is the second best selling album of the year
But I guess since On The Floor alone outsold every single off Born This Way (and to not talking about the videos' views), people are more interested in JLO music than Lady Gaga I think you're right

I think you don't understand.... Poeples are interested in Gaga as Gaga... They want to see her crazy outfits... What sh's going to do... And even her new music.. But they are not intersted in her current music...

We'll see how successful it's gonna be..depends on the video,the song itself and the promotion..Though I hope for a #1 debut

The song they did for that cartoon movie created a bit of buzz but since they removed her off the official duet no one really knows how it would have done. Personally It would do better for the album then it would do for itself as a single.

It's hard for me to imagine that it will have the same AI as MTN or Judas.
The only thing standing in the way is Chers age, so we'll see. One thing's for sure. The only way it can smash is if they release it before the album, so people buy the single.

I still can't believe how bad Love did, it didn't even go gold.
Do you guys think that maybe Interscope relaxed on Gaga's radio play and stuff to make way for LMFAO's success? So that they were not exactly competing. I know a lot of Asian labels do this.
It's the same thing for LMFAO .... They have the second most succeful single of 2011.... But their album is selling like ****...
Eh... and? I think when people are buying your album they're interesting in you, your music and your artistic view.
OF COURSE her singles performed quite bad compared to the TF/TFM (we're not blind) but say "people are not interested in her music anymore" is frankly reductive
Sis i'm sure a ballad with Elthon will be epic and beautiful.
But no one is here for Gaga's ballads.

I personally love Y&I, Speechless and Brown Eyes.
We all started to stan for her thanks to electro-pop-dance songs, that's why we are here, not ballads with singers from the 90's.
That's because most of her ballads simply suck. I don't think one with Elton John would. He knows how to make them great.
And she needs to release one eventually, because you need diversity in your singles for a long career.
