ATRL: ATRL Is Deteriorating

The site is not deteriorating, and old members of a forum always slow down or even stop posting, while new members come in. The old members will invariably cry about how much better the old days were (see my signature) and the newbies take over. It's just a normal life cycle.

Thing is, some things we get points for aren't exactly rule-breaking. Some of the points come from certain moderators who have no authority in real life, so they flex their "power" on ATRL for no reason.

Exactly!
You can **** with most stanbases and shade the artist lightly/wittily in a non-album/single thread and not get a WP.
You can **** with the Navy, but only if you have a WP to spare because they WILL report you. But if Ace is online, you probably won't get the point.
You don't **** with the Beyhive. They will dig through all 5,000 of your posts and get you banned. 
And if you want to say something THAT shady, all you have to do is take your ass to NHB or SYG, it's not that hard.

I've been reported and warned for stating true tea that some stans feel makes their fave look bad, despite my post being written as nicely as possible and not baiting at all.

O yea I know that. But to act like the WP-system isn't in need of fixing and that everyone who gets points deserves them, is wrong. And, i'm assuming, that's why most people are complaining.

exactly, i've received a few warning points but i've never had more than 3 at one given time. its just something you learn to deal with... everyone has received an "unfair" wp or two here.

I feel like the amount of times you get away with saying things and not getting points outweighs the amount of times you get points for ******** things. 
Also, yeah, you definitely get more passes as an older member, but I can see why. If you're new, it can be interpreted that you're just here to troll and cause trouble. If you're an older member, you've proven you're actually an active contributor to the site, and do more than just talk **** all the time. And you've built up a persona/voice, so people are more likely to find your shade funny than mean.

People are complaining because that's what people do. They don't want points, even though they're deserved. Traffic court is filled with people complaining about the legal system and the biased cops, but they're all in traffic court for a reason: their own fault.

yes some of us are extremely sensitive 
even though we shade her forehead all the time too .. its just that some people are defensive when it comes to other stans shading her.

EVERYTHING is unfair. Yeah, you get a few unfair WPs sometime, but this is one of the more lenient pop boards I've ever been on. At least we HAVE SYG and NHB, and honestly, the amount of shade people get with is pretty great. We have just the right level of restriction on outright insults that people get so clever with it.

The point of all my post in this thread was to prove that the bolded line isn't ALWAYS true. Again, let's not act like the system is perfect.
And the same way you're saying the people who complain can pack their bags and go, you can do the same thing and head in the other direction when you see the complaints. Complaining about complaints get's you nowhere. And now I'm complaining about you complaining about others complaining.

It's not only with the Navy and Beyhive - every stanbse is the same in this matter.
