uh...Born This Way and Rated R are different on so many levels from eachother.
Born This Way is hyped up by Gaga and her team like it is the bible in music form on CD, while Rated R was made during an emotional process of the worst time of Rihanna's life.
Gaga's Born This Way is also way more commercial than Rated R and BTW could have been much better with a slightly different image for the album and without all the hype and if they would have handled the era better single wise.

Also Rated R was Rihanna's 4th album, while it is just Gaga's 2nd, it is not good if you get a sophomore slump (singlewise), after all the "hype"
Gaga is an amazing artist, but this era has been handled single wise as a mess
