She has broke so many barriers to get female rappers noticed again and it seems that people do not appreciate it. In some areas she does have the respect she deserves but from her fellow female rappers I think she does not.
she deserves respect for being female rap back to relevance. but that's it. Her current music doesn't deserve that respect.So in some ways she does, but in others she doesn't need any. She will earn it, one day.
and now that i think. She hasn't revived female rap. She's THE ONLY female rapper really doing something so of course it would be like that lol. It's not like her success created a chain effect of successful female rappers or old rappers making comebacks because of her success. I will now say she made a name for HERSELF not for female rap. If a few new female rappers become successful, I will say she revived it, until then, she just made a name for herself.

I mean, she came along in a virtually woman-less, male dominated industry and was able to reach a copious amount of success. I'm not understanding how that's not deserving of respect.
