But Marry The Night helped the album sales more so than the single itself. So it works for her album but for some reason not for the single. I think it's doing fine this late into her 5th single tbh.

Those who buy albums are more inclined to buy concert tickets. It's common sense.
Why do you think Rihanna had problems filling arenas in the US or how Katy's last tour grossed less than half of what the Monster Ball did? Album artists are touring artists.

Gaga would have no problem selling out in Japan, parts of Europe, Canada, Mexico, South America. If she scaled back a small bit, she would also have no problem selling out in the US as well. Some of you need to get out more and realize that most of the things we pay attention to online are not even relevant to the people who are just casual fans aka the people who will fill up arenas.

Fan bases have this weird idea that people actually care about pop stars.
They don't.

One thing I disagree with Nicole about is Gaga's ability to come back. People are forgetful and to be quite honest, they have no damn clue what Gaga wore last week versus 3 months before. They just know she's a weirdo now, and she has always been one.

If the lead single is catchy and a dance hit, people will come in droves and buy it. The brand doesn't carry that much weight when it comes to single success.
The only case it does is when you have such incredible momentum as a new act like Gaga did for BTW, and kind of squandered (looking at BTW single sales today.)

People are mixing up heavy discounts in Europe and promotion across the board as MTN helping album sales.

A song with no airplay is not fueling anything.
