It's iconic because it catapulted Gaga into the pop culture stratosphere. It's not iconic 'cause it's good, even though it is, it's iconic because it came from out of nowhere and was the last thing everyone was expecting. It was the moment a lot of people went from "This girl just makes pop music" to "This girl will become a legend."
