The Edge of Glory was meant to be that simple, because I think she wanted to prove she can do different stuff once in a while. Everyone at the moment was like ''she's pure gimmicks on her video'' and she proved them wrong. You and I was lovely, but Boomkack's thing for aerial view just annoys me. Loved Jo, Nymph and all of them.
Marry The Night, in my opinion, IS THE GREATEST GAGA VIDEO EVER CONCEIVED UNTIL NOW. The nurse there was a symbolization of the model that appears in the Born This Way video, aiding Mother Monster to give birth and thus consolidating the concept of being born again. Loved the visuals, the passion, everything.
This era as of now has been very rewarding to me.

I don't think the TEOG video was deliberately simple. She had a day to shoot everything and just threw it together. If she had more time, she could have made a proper simple video.

I liked the Y&I video. However, the one thing I would change is the inclusion of Yuyi. I mean, what was that!?! Imo, Yuyi should've been the main focus in TEoG video, not the Y&I video.

i legit think she threw Yuyi in there Just because of the fact that she promised fans mermaids for TEOG and she didn't want to let us down

Oh, i'll explain it to you. Born This Way is about the identity, fantasy and reality, the psyche. Evolution, and Darwin, have said that every living form on Earth started in the ocean. So, Yüyi is a representation of the primitive and instinctive part of the human's mind. That's why you watch her have frenzy sex 
The role of Yüyi is that in an non-moment of Born This Way she decides to step out of the water and fight for survival. She fully grows her limbs, and becomes the warrior queen we see on MTN video exploding cars. That warrior queen, if you notice, has the traces of Yüyi in her dress.

It's not an amateur mess, though.
You're entitled to your opinion but don't try to pass it off as fact.
On an objective measure there's nothing wrong with the cinematography. It was done by a professional. It looks professional.
You're not a professional and you can't nitpick it's flaws accurately. You don't know what you're talking about. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's amateur.

What happens, and what not everyone has realized, is that Yoü and I is partially a love song written to her alter egos. Practically, the song is recited between Jo and Nymph, her masculine and feminie sides and that correlates to her tweet that said that if you don't love yourself you'll never know what you're looking for in love. So, as a love song to all her alter egos, Nymp, Jo, Robo Gaga, Farm Gaga, Hooker Gaga and Yüyi and whatever she appears as, that what is meant to represent: she has to accept herself in her entirety, her primitive side, her masculine side, her feminine side, her wacky side, her sweet side, everything. interesting.. but i think that she created this image and idea after she had written You&i and therefore used it for the video. not that im complaining. but im just saying i believe that the actual song is about Luc

The confusing part about Y&I is that it doesn't go in chronological order, which I happen to love.
Yüyi is what happens after Taylor continuously tries to experiment on Gaga. The more you he tries to change her the more magical she becomes. I took this as Luc (whom the song was originally about) telling her she'd never make it. She used that as motivation to become famous and truly make it.
Anyways, Taylor finally lets the black-haired Gaga (reminiscent of Stefani) incubate on her own (he puts her in that water chamber) and she comes out the way she wants to be.
