You DO care if she flops. She is a POP STAR. Her objective is to SELL.
NO PROFIT = NO BRITNEY SPEARS.
It does matter if she succeeds. It does matter if she puts in effort. It DOES matter if she takes her career seriously.
She cannot afford another lackluster era or her fans are outtie....and if Britney doesn't have people buying, then her career is outtie too, which ultimately means NO MUSIC.
Spill that TRU TEA - And wait for the hypocrites to come and say you're not a "real fan" cause you think like that.
Imma find somethin' for that bitch to do. She hasn't performed on US X-Factor yet. She hasn't guest stared on NCIS. She hasn't had a song with Lady GaGa yet.
The epic 'Quicksand' disagrees.
And considering Britney hasn't properly promoted since 2004, there are LOTS of "new" things for her to do.
Don't you guys think that she wants to flop on purpose (??) so that she can get off the conservatorship. Once her conservers realize that she ain't making money like she used to, they will have to eventually let her go.

she doesn't need to do a whole album of Strangest Loves, and Then We Kiss type songs. It's fine to have maybe 4 or 5 of those of the album but if your expecting hits out of those type songs your not gonna get it sadly. Us stans might be here for it but radio sure as hell ain't.
2001: 'By the time I'm 30, there's not going to be anything left for me to do.'
Why would she sell herself short? There's still tons of awards and achievements she doesn't have that she could still accomplish to affirm her title. At least that way the haters have nothing to say.
I'm tired of hearing people say that she's "over" or she doesn't have that Ray of Light/Thriller album. 30 is still young and she could do a lot in the 10 years it takes to become 40. I believe in her.

quite a theory but I highly doubt that. Esp. since she still went on tour and was very excited about touring. There's way more money in touring than there is selling albums. Plus, even if she wasn't touring, Britney still makes lots of money from other sources like endorsements plus from her own personal business lines like her clothing and perfume line which has sold over a billion bottles.

I've never heard that theory before...
I think that ones a little extreme. She wouldn't even go on tour or release a album if that was the case.

I don't want a full album of ballads/mid-tempos either but something like Circus which had the right mix, it just had the wrong tracks on the standard/deluxe.

agreed. But if anything I want another album like ITZ or Circus. That actually has a mix of songs. I like cohesive albums but radio likes dance Brit, buyers like pop Brit, and stans like mid tempo Brit.

I hate how fans use the conservatorship for the most random things when in reality it's all down to Britney herself and how she just doesn't give a **** and care anymore. I saw fans say the c-ship is stopping her from doing promotion cos she really wants to promote but being under Jamie's control, she's forced not to and to stay at home and just tour. I've seen fans say the c-ship is stopping her from performing on huge shows that her team books but the c-ship forbids her in performing on them. I can't.

THIS. Brandon
Femme Fatale kinda made me realize I do not exactly like "cohesive" albums though.
