I like GaGa I bought BTW but a lot of her fans are acting like her album has flopped! It was never going to be as big as The Fame!

All the other pop gurls are struggling this year! 5 million in a year worldwide this years I consider a success for an album that had only one big hit.

Gaga's album is at 5 million + WW, that era is not an awful one in term of success. I don't get where you are going with this.

l understand them.Lady gaga is a rookie,she is trying to take her career in a more artistic route and cement an iconic place in the game.Unfortunetly the other girls want to achieve the same goal by breaking #1 records.All her stans wont get the reasons behind this decisions.The meltdonws for the singles success is normal because of the "GOOD SONG=#1 SONG=ALBUM SALE" climate right now.Gaga will be ok,the monsters will be back supporting her anytime l am sure.

I've had to block the BTW thread completely because I can't enjoy the album with almost everyone complaining every day. As amazing a career as Britney Spears as had, her second single peaked in the 20s. This is Lady GaGa's first single to peak in the 20s, and it's her twelfth single.

This era has and will continue to weed out all the stans only here for a successful GaGa. I mean, her streak from Just Dance to Telephone was one of, if not the most, successful starts to any female artist's career.

I was a (dare I say) little monster way back in mid-2008 when I discovered JD. I followed her career for more than 2 years and really supported her for all of TF and most of TFM, but then she started to become a little off-putting. It was like she was really trying to prove herself more than what she had to, and this is reflected in BTW. I think she was trying way too hard to out-do herself and create some sort of wacky impression to the public. I dislike her now because of what she has become and how pretentious she is about having some sort of a fiesta in impact on pop culture. Whether she was to flop or not, I would still be supporting her if she was the fun, carefree girl that she used to be, who lived for the music itself instead of making 14 minute music videos of superflous rubbish.

you guys are so ****ing positive you have no idea! i couldn't agree more with this thread. and i would like to point out that while there is one monster stan base it's really split in 3: Delusional, Immature, and Real.

a lot of people tell me that they like gaga or some of her songs but they hate her stans. i don't blame them as i see the immature & delusional stans **** everything up little by little. it has gotten to the point where it's just so damn embarrassing. seeing these brats throw tantrums is why i always try to speak up for myself & the other stans who actually know what being a true stan is: supporting your bitch thru the good bad & the ugly, + spilling true tea (when necessary), while showing other divas courtesy and respect. we want folks to treat LG kindly while 2/3 of our stan base bully, harras, and treat their faves like ****?! hell no! that's why everybody hates us. and the other bitches (delusional & immature stans) gotta start **** with everybody everyday almost. like, "oh let's go drag britney" so everybody goes on youtube & leaves negative comments on her vids (hold it against me anyone?) or like the vma mess, one of my friends was quoted by mtv for saying **** to Adele on twitter. all because LG didn't get more noms. and before the vmas they were bitching about ALL her videos! i swear it's like they're NEVER ****ing happy with Gaga or anyone.

i went thru the whole brit vs. xtina & bsb vs. nsync pop era; no one brought out drama like this puberty stunted stan base. everyday i hear nothing but bitching, my twitter timeline is raped with nothing but negativity from monsters. or ass licking delusional brats who think she's Jesus Christ's second coming. and while Nicole may seem pretty harsh to some, she's actually one of the few who is positive & negative when she's supposed to imo. but i appreciate the kind words and support from some of you. you're probably the only people i've heard say anything nice about BTW in a loooong while.

Gaga's been extremely annoying, arrogant, and overall bothersome this era, and it's not incorrect to state that the BTW era has turned out to be miles less than it was amped up to be. However, to say that this album has "flopped" is a huge overstatement. I agree wholeheartedly that it seems her fans have been painting this era in more of a negative light than anyone.

Then TFM came along and it just completely changed my opinion of her. She was someone I enjoyed listening to over and over and over.
Now BTW is out and I consider myself a stan. She never ceases to amaze me.

But I also have to blame some Monsters out there. Nobody has a perfect career, she had to go through 3 albums to get her first flop. Artists go through a flop single, even the greatest ones. Gaga is not flopping, she just finished the peak of her popularity. All artists have to end their peak right?
