I mean, I don't hate it, but it belongs on a mixtape, not an album. And certainly not a lead single. I get what she was trying to do, but to anyone that had heard Pon De Floor before (which was most people), it was kind of tacky. It's as much Switch and Diplo's fault though.
I don't believe it should go on a mixtape. Everything about this song screams SMASH to me, and there are barely, if not, no smashes on a mixtape. Maybe if her team made the beats themselves, it would have exploded on the radio.

I agree with the notion of being being the wrong first single -- it shouldn't have been a single at all -- but I do believe it should have still been on the album. It being a "buzz" single would've been better than announcing it as the lead single, considering the early response it got.
