It's not our fault Death Jam releases her albums the same week as other artists who are extremely local & sell well first week.
that doesn't justify anything. If anything the US Navy would do more to ensure she gets that top spot if shes up against more competition. Its sad really considering most of the shade rihanna gets tend to be from the fact that she cant sell albums in the US that well...
No im sorry that wig needs to be tugged and pulled until they see sense, the US Navy are always the ones with the biggest mouths and talk **** about her 11 #1s there and all that talk, but then they are the only stanbase who then suddenly disappear from the shops when a new rihanna album is out, its just shameful, the only thing i can commend them for is that the current stans in the US are consistent in buying her stuff other than that they are the hairy pits of rick ross.
America stans for her singles. The UK stand for her albums. Sorry that US Navy can't go out and force the country to go buy her CD's when it wasn't even promoted over here. We got almost no promotion and people here just assumed WFL was another single off her album.
Blame DefJam for screwing up in the US, not the US Navy
Why are you blaming the navy? Stanbases are not that large and powerful. She needs the general public and sadly, they're not here for her albums. They'd rather spend less and buy her singles. Which is why she has 11 #1 singles and has yet to achieve a #1 album.
And since RiRi's fans are mostly young ppl, the piracy is a big factor because it's the most common amongst the young. After all, she is one of the most illegally downloaded artists.
The non-phenomenon, A-List successful, artist sells anywhere from 1-3 million albums on average every 2-3 years. In the last 2 years and 1 month, Rihanna has shifted over 3 million in the US. Some people just need to come down to earth, and look at it from a modern perspective. Rihanna is very successful in the US with her albums, she's even more successful internationally. Take it for how it is, and get over it. Almost any artist in the world would trade their sales pattern for hers.

No it DOES justify it. Stans are a small percentage in album sales. The general public has to buy the album. It's not just stans that rush out and get it. The U.S general public is only here for her singles not her albums. That's not the stans fault.

shes obivously caught the attention of the general public in the UK, as she has 3 #1 albums and 6 #1 singles and there is alot of controversy around her behaviour here in terms of her performances and some of the things she does but they still buy her albums, and stanbases are obviously powerful if artists like lady gaga and lil wayne (lady gaga who are still relatively new) to the industry can sell a million copies in the first week ( 660,000 if you dont count the 99p discounts)
I Just think the US Navy really are slacking atm in terms of rihanna sales and they need to buck up ASAP.

Ok I'll go buy 100,000 copies next album to please you
ehhh maybe im just letting out too much of my frustrations out at once when it comes to the US Sales, ive been thinking about this **** for a while now its only a matter of time before i went crazy

I get what you're saying. But you can't put the blame on her stanbase. We do our job and buy our copies and the rest is out of her hands. I never understood why her albums under-perform here though. With her amount of #1's you'd think she'd be one of the best album sellers here. It's really a mystery.
Yeah, the US numbers are bad but she does better WW, which I think is more important. I like that she's a WW force and not a local US act.

exactly my point, its this that makes me question the US navy at times.I did say at the beginning i know that the majority of the stanbase is consistent with her albums sales but like you said its a mystery to me why its only the US which she under-performs in when her singles and her record-breakings mostly come from the US. I LOVE the fact that she is a worldwide force if im honest, as much as i have ranted about the US the past page or so, its the fact that shes a worldwide phenomenon that makes me love her even more. It really shows the power she has and shes probably the biggest worldwide force going atm
