They dont want her to be basic they just want her to make fun quirky tracks that she's known for. Poker Face is known for being "different" while not being such a serious song. And it just works as a great pop song.

BTW showed her serious side, i'm sure she will go back to making less serious light hearted songs, but she will not become generic.

It's longevity was non-existent. I don't think it even lasted 20 weeks in the Top 50.
