Hey guys, I don't know if there's Demi fans here. I'm making a CD of Demi and Kelly tracks. Since the cds I have doesn't have much space, I had to pick 18 songs (9 from Kelly and 9 from Demi). It was extremely hard since they both have classic songs. I know no one cares but I just wanna see if the songs I picked are good. I'll put them in this specific order:
Miss Independent
Got Dynamite
My Life Would Suck Without You
My Love is Like a Star
Addicted
Until Youre Mine
Maybe
Dont Forget
Irvine
Fix a Heart
Because of You
For The Love of a Daughter
Dark Side
Lightweight
Stronger (What Doesnt Kill You)
Unbroken
Sober
Skyscraper
*Close Calls: Never Again, Behind These Hazel Eyes (Two of my favorites )
Any suggestion?
I mean you have to have Hazel Eyes, I prefer Sober over Never Again, but that's just me. You can also add "You Love Me" from the new album, or maybe a song from her first album "Thankful"

No Thankful songs? Just Missed the Train? Low?
Also where is World of Chances? That would sound great after Maybe.

Yeah, I'm still giving second thoughts on Hazel Eyes, it's one of my all-time favorites! From Thankful I thought about "Just Missed The Train".
I might change this tracklist a lot lol There are so many good songs! World of Chances does sound good after Maybe so I'm gonna put that.
My idea is basically tell a story of empowerement. Starting with how a person falls in love and it's let down by their beloved. How we think it's the end of the world, but then we recovered because what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. I wanted to finish with Sober and Skyscraper because lyrically I found them similar somehow, and they are great album enders.

I'm not too familiar with Demi's discography, but the songs you chose for Kelly are fantastic. I honestly don't think including anything from Thankful is necessary, since those songs are much more different than any other Kelly songs, and they're WAY off base compared to anything Demi has done. The order you arranged the album is also incredibly interesting and well thought-out. Job well done.
Oh, and about Never Again and Behind These Hazel Eyes: While those two songs are among Kelly's absolute greatest, Never Again is a little harsh for the album, and BTHE simply doesn't fit anywhere in your story, so I wouldn't worry too much about leaving them out.
how is it possible that Kelly doesnt even have 1 million twitter followers yet? she's been around for so long, and shes freakin' awesome! y'all should follow me whilst you're at it
There is a lot riding on wdky, the potential is huge for it to smash if handled correctly. RCA seem to be heavily invested in this era, more so than the last few years. Just a couple more weeks into the new year & we may have a completely different story as opposed to the boring stalemate we currently have. Fingers crossed
I do admit, I have moments where I wonder "oh god, don't stuff this up rca"
Don't get too worried Kevin. It's still early. The album has actually been outselling what AIEW was selling weekly at this point. I saw this at the KCE.
I'm a bit worried about the sales. WDKY really needs to become the hit we all think it will be or else the stronger era is over.
I don't see any reason to worry. The public reacted well to the song when the commercial was on (the only good promo so far). Plus, by the end of this year, Stronger will have sold around 450K off of the success of MKIA alone.
Other artists need to step up then... US videos are boring compare to KPOP; and I don't even listen to Kpop music that much or at all. I'm just hear in awe of their production values for their music videos.

Even their music slays. They found a balance between commercial and uniqueness.
A K-pop invasion is slowly coming to America. And once it comes, artists here are going to be forced to step up their game.

I don't worry either, i think sales have been decreasing for every artist (excluding Adele, 5 million? 21 was definitely overrated) I think Stronger is doing great so far and it will continue to sell, it has already been certified Gold.

i don't pay attention to KPOP, but this video doesn't seem all that advanced from US videos. In fact, this video's concept and general feel reminds me of Beyonce's Run the World.
but i do agree in general kelly's video could use some work, but it's not something she's really known for (at least recently) and i don't get the sense it's a priority for her.
