I mean, you can pretty much predict their (rather short-lived) chart runs.
Zoom to #1 on iTunes, maintain for a day or two, and then free-fall, never to be seen/heard of again, just as Cap10 said.

Taylor ain't getting a numbe 1 from this. She's just going to have to wait until her next lead single:

I'd rather see Taylor at #1 than SAIKI.
but I still hope WFL get a decent enough boost to hold off Taylor...
I mean she'll need to sell 150k copies more after all...

She still has a chance, but I really don't see it.
Next lead single? I don't know, but even with all the hype she had, Mine didn't hit #1. Speak Now era hasn't been handled well, I don't know how well she is going to do in next eras.

lets not pretend that it is not the common practice with every song without the suppost of radio airplay...

To be honest, all they have to do is release on a Monday with perhaps some radio arrangements and a promo appearance. Fairy tale debuted at #2 as a soundtrack song, Mine at #3.

The queen is not playing around at all, LMFAO needs to just move out of the way and let her have her reign.

Exactly.
Anyway, i'm amazed at how well SFTTR is doing digitally, considering it's JUST entered the top 20 on Radio, and it's already top 5 on iTunes.
Added to that, it's got a nice 1 milli headstart in terms of sales, seeing as it's about to go Platinum.

That's true, but we're talking about Taylor here. Her fans and others seem to think she's going to debut at #1, even though she released on a Friday.

And the fact that 5.2 Million people already have it as part of the CD
I don't think Taylor is getting that Christmas #1.. And the song is pretty bad :X

Mine was released Thursday afternoon, not Tuesday midnight. It got leaked so her label released the song without any notice.

Well, we know what happened to the last song that came out on a Friday that was destined for #1.
Only one has done it here, and I don't see another doing it.

Yeah, I think if they just release a song on a Monday this time around, she'll have the #1.

In Christmas week most important is how you sell 23->. So practically first days is irrelevant all that count is how she will hold in weekend. She can debut @ #1 but if it will happen depends when it will peak. Unlike regular weeks in year end AI is not so critical. Last year Grenade was #1 despite fact that it was ~40M AI behind Firework on radio.

I really don't think Taylor going to debut at #1. Let's just ignore some delusional stans

This is a different week, as Christmas falls on Sunday, so we would most likely see the Christmas effect the following week, yes?
And you can't totally discredit sales from early days. That's illogical.

Totally no, but still always amount sold in from Friday to Sunday was practically equal to amount sold from Monday to Thursday. Also don't forget Itunes chart is 48h rolling chart. And as i mentioned that what matters is how high it will peak. If she will gain ~50% lead over SAIKI then she has chances for #1.
