She does deserve way more respect than she does get. Not saying that she must be worshiped like a goddess, but a lot of the general public (exlcuding her fans, of course) do write her off as another run-of-the-mill, minimally talented pop star. It's pretty mind-boggling to still hear people saying that she can't sing and isn't that great of a performer. And the songwriting/plagiarism controversies don't help, either.

I don't think she was being shady. She just meant that Kanye felt strongly about the video and thought it was art so he was defending it. She wasn't putting down Taylor at all.

Even in interview during the B'Day era, she said some stuff like this:

Bey gets too much praise in my opinion.

People always call britney spears a performer, but I feel like beuonce is aswell. Beyonce dances and shows everykne she can sing, but what else? Its just a perrormance. There is no credibility behind it. she is not the writer or the composer. she just is the presenter of the song.
To me its like if a kid writes a paper for another kid to presebr in class. the kid that presents has no.connection with the paper!And I feel that way about beyonce.

She gets my respeft as an amazing performer, but thats it. I feel that people forget the ither things that matter. Why other artistshave an edge and shoukdbhave more respect then beyonce
