Ideally I think half of an album should be singles... more realistically though maybe like a little more than 1/3. It just feels like a lot of album tracks tend to just be overlooked, and 13 overlooked tracks is a lot especially after waiting 2 and a half years for it to be finished

I always felt it was much more suitable as a single for like, a male fronted alternative rock band. Unless they made drastic changes to make it more poppish then I don't think radio would really go for it.

Agree with the intro and outro, though I think Kelly voice added more depth to the song, if arranged better...

He indeed did. The demo was perfect on it's own in my opinion. And the last note she hits at the end of the song... why the **** is it so low ? Turn up that note !! That's one thing I also dislike about the song.

Yup, I've always been scared to say all this because I know how much people love Honestly but I agree completely. I still love the song but it was a huge disappointment after hearing the demo.

Idk. Sometimes I wonder how much of it is her holding back or her just not wanting to rock the boat with the label. Because of the leaks, we've heard how she experiments as an artist. But that's not the "Kelly Clarkson sound" so she isn't able to release that type of music I guess.
So I'm listening to the SmoakStack session version of If I Can't Have You and I never really realized how tragic the lyrics are. Its really a beautifully written song.
Lets aim for the number one.
