She can reap the benefits of having a single out that can help people get over their troubles. man down did not flop, it peaked at number 59 on hot 100 despite only being sent to urban radio, if it was sent to rhythmic and mainstream radio it would have peaked much higher and man down was a strong point in the loud era and rihanna's career in terms of her music videos and artistic direction.

Plus TTT has to come after WHYB. TTT is more summery than WHYB, not to mention that she needs an international hit as the third single. YDO will bomb outside of the US and the UK (I see a chart run similar to WMN?), so there has to be something with international appeal to hold the album up worldwide as the third single.

No. WHYB is better suited for the Summer. In recent years we have seen that "club songs" are the songs that do great in the summer. Look at this year's Summer anthems. Give Me Everything and Party Rock Anthem. Both club songs, both worldwide smashes. Where Have You Been is better suited for a June 2012 release. Hopefully they rush out TTT in March seeing as its already getting Urban spins. YDO will do nothing on Urban and Im sure by February it will be Dead on Pop. I think it will be a Top 5 on the Hot 100 though. If its even for 1 week I have faith it will sneak in.

I think Farewell would flop miserably because it's a CKB-wannabe & it's not even a good album track. DoL is excellent but I can't imagine hearing it on radio at all.

It's easy to imagine myself listening to WAWL on a Top 40 station. Like Deemy said, it's a midtempo (I would even call it uptempo maybe), but with ballad delivery, like RITD (I know it's a stretch to ever compare Rihanna to Adele, but whatever).

WAWL is catchier than DOL.
