She and Capitol will do anything they can to get those 6 #1s but in all of our hearts, even Katycats, we all see her as a joke, cheat, and a fluff of pop overexposure.

overexposure... dont even get started on that haha. wasnt E.T. remix and E.T. original #1 and #2 on intunes for a little while, it also top airplay for atleast 4 weeks, it could have gone #1 without the remix for atleast a week. And LFN was #2 for weeks, if she just performed it would have went #1 on its own.

Not really, I mean it's not the best but it ***** on other song. If it was the first single it could've been massive, if the terrible BTW was huge, this could've been bigger.

The album version of E.T. got to #2 on iTunes when the Kanye version was out, and would've probably got to #1 if people weren't choosing between the two. The album version of E.T. got to #1 in New Zealand before it even got a music video, and before the remix was even announced!!!
Anyway, why does nobody care about :
Adele ft. Gilbere Forte - Set Fire to the Rain
Jay-Z & Kanye West ft. T.I. - *****s in Paris
T-Pain ft. Lily Allen & Winsin & Yandel
People on here seriously need to just realize that remixes are completely normal. Now 5 of the top 10 songs have remixes. I find it hilarious there's meltdowns over remixes, but ONLY when either Britney, Katy or Rihanna is involoved. The other HUNDREDS of remixes released this year, nobody cares about.

Yeah. I'll admit that E.T. wouldn't have sold quite as much as it did without the Kanye remix, and that it wouldn't have got played on urban radio, but it's obvious it would've still got to #1. Maybe for just like 2 weeks instead of 5. I think people are forgetting how big E.T. was.

Yes. A lot of people don't realize that ET (Feat. Kanye West) is NOT on the ALBUM. I don't understand why her stans acting like it is. E.T is a fabulous song but let's not act like the remix with Kanye didn't give it some credibility and push. She will never beat MJ's record. Her best #1 will always be Teenage Dream.. and its not because its my favorite song by her. It just *****.

This TOTGA remix is pathetic of Capitol. Yes, other popstars have done these remixes, but THREE for one album? They could seriously do anything else to promote the song & push it up the charts: another discount, another performance, an album discount, etc.
No matter who says what, this is tarnishing her image. Enough is enough.

For me Katy can never beat MJ's record. For me she has three #1 from TD. 1. California Gurls feat. Snoop Dog. 2. Teenage Dream. 3. Firework.
Without Kanye E.T. would never go #1. Without discount and remix LFN would never go #1. Without discount (even with discount) and remix TOTGA will never go to #1. (I think this time remix will not work too.)

Falso. You seem to forget the fact that when the ET remix was number one, the ET actual version was number two. So you cannot discount the legitimacy of THAT single. The others, on the other hand, are debatable.

Again, people on ATRL seem to not pay attention to anybody outside of Britney Spears and Katy Perry.
There's a lot of artists out there who remix almost every single they release with a featured rapper.
E.T. would've definitely got to #1 without Kanye. But Last Friday Night probably wouldn't have. So if Katy never did rap remixes, she'd have 4 #1s, probably.
But imo, rap remixes are no different to dance remixes. Rap remixes usually sell more because the average rapper has a larger fanbase in the US than the average dance producer. That's all. Apart from that, they're no different.

It's how pop stars use the remixes these days that is most folks' issues. Most of these remixes are used to get a push for a week or two at #1 and they fade away right after that. And the remixes are poorly done. I don't think Hip Hop remixes or the way they are used are similar to those of pop remixes.
I actually prefer the original version of "E.T." and I'm a Kanye fan.

I think a good example of a song in terms of remixes ft. popular artists was Boom Boom Pow. It had a Kid Cudi remix, a David Guetta remix and a 50 Cent remix, and all three sounded completely different to each other! Those sounded like more artistic remixes, rather than just to get a high chart position, if that makes sense.
So I do understand what you're saying. I think some of the remixes by pop artists are a bit lazy. I think they should try and make the remixes more different to the original version.
I think the E.T. remix was good though, since the beat is perfect for rapping on imo. Last Friday Night, Moves Like Jagger, etc. though, not so much.
