Well, E.T. (remix) was always intended to be the single, hence the reason the video has Kanye on it. Just because the remix was added later, it doesn't mean anything. The only attempts at "manipulation" came from L.F.N. and now the 1 that got away.

Katy will be remembered for her number ones as well. If Mariah is remembered for her 18, why can't Katy. Mariah is the original in terms of discounted singles. Jennifer Lopez is also remembered for her "Murda Remix" way into the songs life that helped them jump to #1. It's Katys career, and no one is hating her but the pressed stan bases on ATRL. L.F.N., as you'll recall, lasted an extra week at #1 after the remix faded into obscurity.

Why are people mad? Michael Jackson reduced the prices of some of his later singles aswell to get those 5 #1's. They also had special deals and offers. It's how you do it! If your faves are too basic to see the light and work harder then that is their fault but do not take it out on Katy for taking the necessary steps to slay the ****ing game.

I don't care if it goes #1 or not. Will the music industry actually acknowledge her acheivements anyway, when half of them have been remixed or discounted for more than obvious reasons? Capitol will only be damaging her credibiliy in the game anyway, no matter what the outcome is.
