I agree with you! Leona is an amazing vocalist and I love her. She adores + idolizes Mariah, so she really is the best choice to honor Mariah.

Funny thing is that Leona said like 2 years ago that one huge artist told her that she/he dont like her or her (Leona's) music...... /Leona said that she will never reveal the name/....but there were rumors all the time that it was Mariah at 'Stand up for cancer' few years ago when they both performed...and later Mariah was interviewed , when they asked her about 'Leona is new Mariah' she was not very happy and gave some rude answer......something in line...'this Leona is the same like other ones that they compared with me ...' ......
So all Leona's fans were quite surprised that they both are on this event.......
After this I think that person who doesnt like Leona could be Mary J Blige lol !

Yeah I know, but I think it's stupid to compare artists at all. And who knows if it was Mariah or not, I'm just happy that Leona gets to sing in honor of Mariah. She deserves it.
Does anyone know if this will be on TV?

Mariah also sold almost 27,000 copies just of her two xmas albums... (in the us)
her catalogue should reach total sales of 325,000 copies this year in the usa alone. I also think her total yearly track downloads total should add up to 1,5-2 million now (300k from AIWFCIY, 200k for Always be my Baby, 100k for Hero, 75k for I'll Be There, 75k for WBT, 50k for Obsessed, 50k for TMB etc.)

The fact alone that we're mentioning that cheap copycat in here makes me sick. 
At least he brought some life into this thread, can't say the same for most of you.

I don't think that makes me bitter at all, but if that's how you are choosing to perceive it then so be it. I'll love Mariah forever because no one else's music makes me happier than her and I will drag for her in a heartbeat, don't misinterpret that. But I'm also not afraid of enjoying and laughing at some of the hilarious things she does or has done or being disappointed at a lot of things she does lately. She is far from perfect.

It's all fine. Nobody is perfect. Mariah is the closest thing to being perfect though, especially when it comes to her music.
