Some schools will be a little less strict, especially if they're looking to expand the diversity of the student body. And some schools will accept anybody just like this university accepted these ghetto things.

I suppose, but these boys were probably 20 years old from observation. This was really their chosen anecdote for this issue?

You can't resort to violence in EVERY situation. If I resorted to violence every time someone infuriated me, I would be at Rikers Island getting my cakes smashed by my cellmate right now. You have to learn how to handle situations better and not be so quick to hit someone.
And don't mind DrunkN, she gets off to abuse.

You're so classy and informed.
We need more people like you in life.

Yes, but since this was on a college campus and we have no proof that these boys involved were from the hood, how can we conclude that violence was what they were taught to combat problems with?

I am surprised they got expelled, but then again the video is all over the internet and it tarnishes the legacy of the university. Is Dean College predominantly white?

Not sure, don't think so.
I'm not sure. But apparently they were ranked 20th.

These are college-level students. If this had occurred in a middle school, MAYBE even a high school, then I would understand and comprehend the whole situation a bit better. However, the fact that this took place on a college campus and that these college students didn't have enough sense to resolve an issue as trivial as misplaced (supposedly stolen) shoes is sad to me. You honestly believe that it's acceptable for this boy (because that's what he was) to attack another student because said boy assumed this other student had stolen his shoes?
|
Did I say it was acceptable?

That statement does not mean that we're defending the aggressor. You guys can go off on him all you want, and I'd agree. Fighting is disgusting, and me, I would never. I can't do that to another human, and I can't imagine someone doing that to me.
|
The point I'm making is that you accept the fact that your ass is probably going to get beat up if you steal someone's ****. Does it make it right that you're going to get beat up? No. But that's the reality.
I know for sure that I ain't stealing NO one's ****. Not only do I not need to, but I don't want my ass beat either. It would be wrong for someone to beat me up just because I stole something from them, but you accept that that's might happen to you when you decide to steal someone's ****. That's one of the many realities of life. Life ain't fair.

After that one boy got attacked at that party and ended up dying, the courts are not having this tomfoolery. Sports or not, if or rather when this video hits the local news, that community is not going to let that boy walk free. People are fed up with having to worry about their children being murdered or beaten when they leave the house.
As if it wasn't bad enough in the neighborhood, the brining the mess to colleges now.

Well niece apparently everybody was expelled, but he can probably slide right to another University.

And how did she come to the conclusion the boy has a mental illness? If he's pumping around college campus he clearly doesn't. Depending on what time you go to class and the amount of courses you're taking some people actually do wear the same outfit every day or every other day to one class and then another.

People have got to read and comprehend posts before quoting me.
This is getting ridiculous.

I was commenting on the first sentence you posted which stated the following:

Yes, a post with some good old fashioned common sense. Thank you, Doc.

Don't even pretend that that was regarding the other video you posted.
Regardless, it's sick that you even found the video you posted to be amusing.

The image of African-Americans in the general media has already been ingrained and reinforced over decades. The majority of the time when a non-celebrity African-American makes the news or headlines, it's usually something negative or a crime.
If you were to ask ANY other race in American to "act like a black person" what do you honestly think you'd get? My guess is it would be something close to this for a male and a ghetto Shaniqua/Sheneneh impersonation for a female.
That's how we're viewed in general. We're dumb. We're ignorant. We know nothing. We steal. We kill.
Is it completely a lie? Not really.
African-Americans comprise the majority of the prison populations nation wide.
African-Americans are always at the VERY bottom or next to last in any standardized testing category.
The African-American high school dropout rate is alarming.
The African-American teen pregnancy rate is alarming.
The list could go on all night.
African-Americans are so crippled, diseased, and plagued as victims of a culture that they themselves maintain.
People discuss all the time how X has four or more different kids by different women. He's with none of the women, takes care of none of the children, sees none of the children.
It's shrugged off. No one really cares. It's now assumed standard that a young black mother is a single parent with the father not around.
Honestly, the myriad of problems that exist within the Black community will not be solved in any of our lifetimes.
It's easy to control someone that's ignorant and dumb. They know nothing.
Why would anyone legitimately want to help that plight? Seriously? Is anyone really concerned with this filth on a national level? Nope.
TBH I feel the other races would be happy if African-Americans just stayed in the projects/ghetto and never left.
It's not an issue so much as the problems that exist, but how they spill over and affect other people(specifically whites).
|
And this is everything Vin tries to say but always fails at because half of the **** he comments on is **** he hasn't seen or been through himself.
Thank You Lipton.

This happens everywhere, because everybody thinks they are ghetto now, so this whole "only in" can be dropped

Umm, because of the violence we watched the guy commit while it was cheered on and encouraged by an entire entourage?
That would be my guess. The demeanor of the situation leads me to believe this was not their first encounter in a situation like this.
But I could be wrong.....

Do we even know for a fact that the man attacked had stolen? Did the aggressor even know for a fact that the man they attacked had stolen from him?

What was the purpose of recording this!? If you're gonna handle the situation fine,I don't see how recording it is going to make it any better.

It's a plausible conclusion, but my only point is that it's quite surprising that any college student - from any background - conducts themselves in such a way.

People have said I'm self-hating because I choose not to associate myself with this type of coonery. I'm sorry I would rather call the cops or walk away. I'm too classy for that ****. If you don't know how to stand for something without resorting to things in this manner then you need to re-evaluate life and it's principles.

The prosecutor threw the book @ the one guy. Classifying the shoe as a "dangerous weapon" to escalate the charges.
Bye girl.

I tend to avoid those types of black people. The girls can take it however they want it, but that's just the way it is. Am not here for coonery and ghetto.

And it's not.
You must not know about colleges these days. Girls can walk into getting admitted to some of these schools. It's all about money and fulfilling requirements.

Nine Dean College students have been expelled following a one-sided fight on Friday that was captured on videotape and posted online. Police said they expected to bring criminal charges in the case.
The fight began when a group of male students confronted another male student over a pair of sneakers, said Franklin Deputy Police Chief Stephen Semerjian.
“It began with a sucker punch so the victim really had no idea,” Semerjian said. “Once he was horizontal on the ground, it was brutal from that point on, absolutely.”
The video shows a young man being punched without warning and then repeatedly punched and being hit with his own shoes. His attacker then walks off with the shoes.
The victim was treated at the campus medical center and released Friday night.
“It was really one-sided,” Semerjian said. “The victim was lucky to be able to get back to his feet.”
One student was expelled Friday, and eight more were expelled after the video came to light Monday, said Gregg Chalk, spokesman for Dean College. Chalk said no other students are being investigated at this time.
“Dean has zero tolerance for anything that infringes on the safety of students,” Chalk said.
At least one person is expected to face criminal charges, Semerjian said. Charges would include assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and unarmed robbery, he said.
“There absolutely will be [charges] once we finish everything up,” he said.
