The song dressing up is actually inspired by Katy's impressive wig collection. Russel gets especially excited when she puts on the wig she snatch from LMFAO from this summer for him

I don't think it will top DS this or next week tbh, and when the discount finishes, i hope it doesn't freefall like LFN, i remember it was like #4 and then had non stop dark red updates until it felt of top 20
That's true. No one said anything when Jason Aldean released a last minute remix with Ludacris and he got a top 10 hit thanks to that.

As pointed out other artists outside pop do it 90x a year, so it shouldn't be viewed as ridiculous when three artists do it. I think that kind of comment stems from not liking said artist. Anyway, no one has shaded Big Sean for remixing "Dance (A$$)" with Nicki to make it even more noticeable. Same goes for remixes that feature Drake/Lil Wayne, etc. Maybe because they don't get as major, or maybe all of you are too catty to embrace the collaborations despite their intentions. The urban market love remixes and when artists come together like that.
And these discounts are not hurting anyone's image. Label tactics have been going on for years, right in our faces. That's why arguing about it really doesn't make a difference. It's not new, and it's a great thing at the end of the day because it makes it even more affordable for consumers. Sure it's "cute" and "fun" to attack the girls who do it, but obviously it's a good thing since practically every one of our faves have done it this year.
Sorry.

I think on here it's almost as if men simply don't exist in the charts. Like T-Pain has this new song out, that nobody ever talks about. And a few weeks ago a bunch of people said they forgot Black and Yellow, one of the biggest songs of 2010/2011, got to #1. WTF?! And so on. A female artist at #100 on iTunes will get talked about more than a male artist at #3. lol.
However, I don't think the pop remix "trend" got crazy at all.
Firstly, it's not a "trend" at all. Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera were using remixes to get to #1 over 10 years ago! Infact, Mariah Carey would sometimes make two different music videos for each of the remixes! It's nothing new.
Secondly, I don't really think it got crazy. Like how many pop songs got the treatment this year? Only a few. When there's like 20 rap remixes of songs getting released every WEEK, I don't think a remix being released once a month from a pop girl is a big deal.
Again, going back to T-Pain's current song, he has a remix of 5 O'Clock featuring 2 Spanish rappers on it. But again, nobody cares, but if Katy Perry did it, it'd be a massive deal, and everybody would be hating on her and talking about it for months.
And, going back to Black and Yellow, there was a remix of it featuing Snoop Dogg, Juicy J, T-Pain, even with a music video recorded seprately for it. Nobody on here cares, but there'd be utter uproar if Britney Spears did a remix to Criminal with a brand new music video!

It's the same with the remixes. Rappers have been releasing loads of remixes of their songs for the past 20 years, and nobody cares, then Rihanna and Britney Spears do it and there's massive panic on here.
It's just so stupid. Three female artsits do it, and everybody complains, yet they didn't care about the other 250 rap remixes of songs released in 2010 that charted.
