I don't care if she releases a video of her sitting on a toilet for 5 minutes, but do not ****ing release some long video for that song. At least give us the free views from people listening to the song on YouTube.

This! People don't want to sit through a long-ass music video. Making a shorter video will hark back to her "golden days" when, miraculously, everything was good.

It's still almost 4 weeks away too. If it keeps falling like this, the era won't even make it until then

Why do ya'll care so much about MTN flopping? A flop is a flop, music is music, you can't change it. If she fades, she fades (WAY to popular to fade atm); all that should matter is if she continues & makes good music. We stan for a talented, wacky, lovable bitch, and if she remains that way, why should all of you care about success? Honest to God question though, why do you care so much about success?

TEOG, Judas, and Y&I vids werent that long.
Telephone and Alejandro were...
The vid lengths have nothing to do with how huge the songs became.

Some of you may say she lost her digital power, well I agree, but it's because of the music she puts out. If the general public doesn't like a song, they won't buy it, no matter how huge that artist is (see Beyonce). I think she still has their interest (A Very Gaga Thanksgiving ratings, A Very Gaga Holidays #4 on iTunes without any banners or promo, MTN views, regular Twitter followers, BTW sales increasing after that Thanksgiving promo ect), and people still buy her albums and go to her tour.
Of course singles success is VERY important, but it's not the scale of how seriously that artist is taken by people. Taylor Swift has never got a #1 @ Hot 100, but she's still the biggest artist in the US. Rihanna, on the other hand, has 11 #1 but couldn't crack 200K on Black Friday week.
I believe that Gaga is here to stay, no matter how ****** this era is (like some of you say), or how people lost interest because of her non-catchy new music. She has built a strong fanbase and somewhat got a stable support from people, I think she won't go anywhere soon no matter how she messed up things this era.
Now back to MTN. It's my most favorite song on the album and I really really want it to be one of her signature hits, but at the end of the day, it's just a single. We couldn't do anything if it flops, so meltdowns are not necessary.

Ew, don't be going on about this.
Gaga fans discredit any awards show that snubs her, now they're gonna try to discredit every chart created.

Esp since MTN seems like it's destroying whatever momentum she had left for this album.

Indeed. At least in the U.S. I feel Scheisse and Americano could do well internationally.
But as far as here, if radios/public aren't here for Marry the Night, there are slim if any pickings at this point if she's aiming for successful singles that is.

Someone posed this question to me the other day, so I will repeat it.
They were talking about having a painting that is the best in the world that has absolutely no promotion or visibility. Now, does that work impact the world to the extent that it could have before if less people didn't see it? If she wants the "beauty" of her music to be heard by as many people as possible, she would want to have it be as successful as possible.

Personally, I'm waiting until Marry the Night drops below You and I - then I'll be a little worried. Other than that, this has been my favorite single era, so I frankly don't care about the charts.
Damn I wanted that streak.
Suh-weet. I'm hoping they take over the emergency television announcement they did earlier this year with Paparazzi.

I care about earing her on the radio when I open it or when I go to the gym. I care about hearing her songs blasting non stop in the clubs when I'm drunk - good times. I care about people talking about her and me smiling and I can actually discuss with them. I care about seeing that she's making an impact somewhere. I care about people wanting to go with me to her concerts and asking me for dates. Things I all could do when she was on top.
Talent is very important, but if you can't reach people, it's wasted talent.

You guys worry way too ****ing much. Calm the **** down and talk about something other than her mediocre radio and itunes update. It's not the end of the world and doesn't merit pages and pages of discussion. We've already been through all of this before.

She's still more successful than most artists out today, the era has been great.

Some people only like/care about Gaga when they can brag about her success.

You all realize Gaga will still be here no matter how "badly" her singles perform. People just love her. The ALBUM sales show it.

TEOG flopped.
Judas was a beautiful exception, an example of a lengthy video done right.
Telephone was ****ing amazing, Alejandro sucked because it was so disjointed.
I mean, there is very little consistency when talking about her videos. But her most iconic, Bad Romance and Just Dance and Poker Face, were concise.
