Like its funny to me how we have 2011 receipts of people being inspired by Beyoncé but no one has anything from 2011 to back up Britney.

|
Receipts about britney's influence and impact in 2011 have already been posted in this thread. Keep up.

Beyonce even inspires Rock Bands
Quote:
For their third album, the Brooklyn indie rockers took their inspiration from an unlikely source — Beyoncé. "I love how she takes on different attitudes in her vocals," Patterson says, pointing to the singer's shifts from party-ready to dark and contemplative on her latest disc, 4. "Plus, her production is wild." For the Rabbits as-yet-untitled LP, due in early 2012, Patterson didn't conjure up an alter ego, ŕ la Sasha Fierce (but if he did, it'd be Stee Stee, his bandmates' nickname for him). He did, however, exercise some Beyoncé-style groove. "Our last record had a lot of raw energy and spontaneity and heavy tom-tom beats, but our new tracks have more of an R&B feel, rhythmically and vocally," he says. "It gets boring always trying to take from rock'n'roll bands."

Like I said, I'm over it. I just had to make sure that if no one would do, I'd rock the crumbling boat you Brit stans have been so complacent with for a decade now. We all know the truth.

You're so set on Beyonce doing something after Britney (see this thread as an example). When she's accomplished on her own merit. It's sad.
But Beyonce isn't winning in votes, Van. And, all you've said was VMAs, Adele, and Rihanna. You never actually made a valid point which I guess is expected.
And, yup, we all know the truth...

No, you're right that wouldn't be Britney's case...she actually has NONE of those to fall back on. Thank you for clocking that true tea steven. Much appreciated.

It's become such a habit for people to relay Britney as the most influential...but she's actually not anymore. Sure, she's the most talked about, searched about maybe. But her career and her legacy aren't influencing anyone else TO--****ING--DAY!!
Beyonce is even influencing Indie bands like someone posted in the 4 thread yesterday. Like the fresh receipts are there, right in front of their faces, but the gurls choose to dig out their stank outdated ones.

|
!!! Indie Rock and Roll band inspired by 4 and looking to do a more Beyonce-fied R&B sound for their upcoming album. Britney can no longer influence with music because what is she offering musically that Katy, Ke$ha, Jessie J - pop girls on the radio overall- aren't doing?

Can we all just agree that both b's are influential you could take both of their careers and compare but thats to much work. They both have #1 abums, #1 singles, praise, legend status, influence, and awards.

Let's not get into concerts or performance because those receipts dont' do Britney well. How can she be influential, how can she be an icon new artist try to emulate when WORLD RENOWNED publications such as The Telegraph have dragged her to the pits for putting on pitiful shows.
Quote:
Despite the usual vast video screens, giant props, costume changes, lasers, pyrotechnics, dry ice, salacious dance routines and thundering sound system, this was the saddest, laziest, dullest and most tawdry pop concert I have ever witnessed. - The Telegraph

Quote:
She can’t dance, and doesn’t even bother pretending to sing. This is the most fake, processed live music show since, well, Britney’s last tour. - The Telegraph

Who exactly does this influene?

I don't know why people create such pointless threads like this. It just looks like you're seeking validation and that's exactly what you're doing which is pathetic. And we've had this discussion before. And Britney is the only one who rivals Madonna's legacy.
