She isn't retarded, but at the same time her image has gotten so completely out of hand. I don't even know how much her music has to do with it.

No she wasn't. Monster Ball Special was great, Judas and You and I videos were awesome. The reception of YAI and Judas was great, the video promoted the song (You and I) at least. MTN is getting a lot of views (of fans who already bought the album  ) and people are not liking very much. The problem is not Laurieann and you know it. We are better without her, but only in some things, videos aren't one of them.

The Judas and You And I videos were ****. The Edge of Glory video was ****. I don't even want to talk about Marry The Night. They aren't that bad, but the amount of praise for them around here has turned them into ****. I don't want to promote that direction in Gaga's career. She can go wherever she wants and I will support her, but I won't feed her praise for ****** releases because then all I can ever expect is more.

I don't think a professional is that important tbh. MTN was directed by Gaga herself, and no matter how the camera angles were not perfect or the editing were not as good as her previous videos, the views are still massive and it's her most liked video to date (140K Likes with 10M views. Telephone got 180K Likes with 130M views). I think the general public could careless if a video is well-directed or not, as long as it's stand-out understandable, they will love it. MTN video is very inspiring and it fits the song, so people like it.

If the general public was watching that 14-minute epic, then maybe it would be selling. Either that or the song is really that hostile to the ears.

Laurieann implanted the "do everything yourself" motto in Gaga's head. Boomkack was my girl before she betrayed us.
She is a choreographer, not a director. Even if she was good at directing three things, she should just stick to choreo.

It clearly boosted the sales. Didn't MTN go from 70 to 15 after the video released?
TOTGA was struggling to get into top 10 too, after Katy released the video. Her performance after AMAs brought good effects, but it started falling again and now they're discounting it.

Even Y&I shot into the Top 10 from the video release and that video is a complete disaster with less views than The Edge of Glory to date.

Anyways, now I'm not sure if MTN would be a hit after seeing its performance on iTunes. She still has promo coming up, let's wait and see how that turns out.
