BTD (?) was put to VEVO like week or 2 after the video release. I am sure they are not in a hurry once again.

I missed this comment lol you are right though but I believe the Grammys took back the awards from them when they found out they lip synched hah but if milli vanilli came out a couple years ago they could have become huge stars hah so many artists now lip sync on tv and nobody cares anymore I couldn't even name all the times Usher lip syncs on award shows.

they are like the starter of this pop-stars-made-by-labels era, the stars that only care about the awards not the quality of the music they made. today's stars treat music like commodities, even tho there are still some artists that treat their music like their lovers (see bon iver's article on pitchfork). just the wrong time i guess for them, unfortunately.
usher. lol. grammys 2010 any1? i also heard from the peeps who saw him in concert that he's just half as good as he's on the record.

About award-shows (including Grammy awards).
BORCHETTA SPEAKS NOW: “Sometimes we get too caught up in it,” said Big Machine topper Scott Borchetta after Taylor Swift scored three nominations but none in the major categories “It's an award show. Yes, it's wonderful to be acknowledged. But if you're working just to get a Grammy Award, I suggest that you have to clean your glasses. Do this art because you love it. If you really love it, it's not work.”
I agree.

I agree to some extenct. I actually think it's good that artist strive to get Grammy's, just like actors strive to get Oscar's. It is a prestigious award and it makes them want to better their craft. When Taylor was nominated for AOTY the last time, he didn't say all of that. I think the best thing would've been to be gracious and congratulate the others, like Taylor did and not say anything about it.

Ditto. Scott Borchetta needs to be friend with Justin Vernon.
Music is about feelings, should be treated like a lover, not commodity. What happen if you make music not because you love it? Look at the mess in Hot 100 in today's music scene.

Well, I think his statement didn't mean to slam other artists, He just simply stated the same fact that Justin Vernon has thought for a while, 98% percent of today's music act make music just because they have to, the label told them to do this & that, just for the sake of fame. While music should be about feelings, vision of life. Music should have substance in it, not just an empty club anthem or the track to blast while driving. People will buy that kind of 'empty' music for workout-track only, but they won't enjoy it as much as the 'real' music. That's why there are many Hot 100 acts who can't move CD, while the Top 200 artists sells bunch of CDs with a few million copies of their singles. Just my 2 cents.

I agree. But those people are rarely the ones who are focused on winning a grammy. Those are usually artists like Drake, Jay Z, Kanye, Beyonce, etc, who really do put a lot into their craft. And artists who make music just for the music LMFAO and co., rarely get acknowledged by the grammy. I'm just saying just because our faves don't get nominated, it doesn't really take awy from the prestige of the award. In my opinion, that's how he kind of made it sound.

ACAs, American Carrie Awards, sometimes called as the American Country Awards. Just another irrelevant awards show by the FOX network. Fake guitars are the prestigious trophies that equal to the gold gramophone statue from the GRAMMYs.
