I agree that for most people, becoming an icon or becoming iconic is a process, but for others, like Gaga, it's quite easy when you burst onto the scene and change the way people view things.

Nothing about Rih is moderately successful. When you have sold over 120records, 25M albums, have 11#1 the word moderate is out of place.

You all are missing my point. MTV is considered as a joke nowadays (not just because these flop shows), the music that they are airing is considered cheap. No one is taking these artists as serious as some of you are making them out to be.
