Iconocism varies for each star deemed iconic. Success isnt the only thing that makes one iconic. Neither is critical acclaim or cultural relevance. Putting them all together gets you some semblance of it. To her fans, yes she is. To the haters who will never like her or respect her as an artist, no she's not.
As a fan of hers I don't think she is. But she's getting there. Her style, fashion and continued string of successes are building the foundations for it. When she releases *that album* I think it'll do it.
But gorl it's been 6 albums... how many more will she need to release until she is established as iconic.

I still don't understand how the incident with CB makes her iconic?
Its quite dumb to think like that, but I think the accident has made a kind of impact on people, I mean, the reaction from people, TV, celebrites etc. was huge.

Becoming iconic is a process, not a spontaneous thing. It takes sometimes a career-length time to make someone an icon. As it should be, not just one great album.

I love how the OP keeps changing the artist trying to keep the momentum going. We barely have time to discuss each in full. But to Katy Perry, no, but just with Gaga and Rihanna, she has had her moments.
