This year has been a good one for Katy Perry. She topped charts, broke records, and sold out arenas. And now, just as the year is winding down, Katy is being lavished with another momentous acknowledgment.

The pink-haired pop star has been named one of Barbara Walters‘ 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011, Walters announced today in a press release.
This year’s top 10 list includes other big names in entertainment and pop culture, including the Kardashian family, Simon Cowell, stars from the comedy Modern Family, and Pippa Middleton.
Katy recently sat down with Walters to discuss her big year for the annual special that will air on December 14 on ABC at 9:30 pm EST.
