I think you're right about balance. She has made some brilliant music, but she hasn't found the right mix of commercialism and activism. She can have the odd song about being yourself, but not as many as she has. Don't get me wrong, I love the album. But I can see why people are a bit put off by the 'preachiness' of it all, even if I like it
