Well she has been damn enar living in the UK, so no one is surprised she succeeded there. The shocker here is that she has the #1 song in the entire country and couldn't sell 200k during the biggest Black Christmas in history.
|
You just contradicted yourself. Her UK sales are not impressive because she did promo there but her US sales are shocking despite the fact that she barely did any promo

Will Rihanna ever get a number 1 album in the U.S.?
Oops, you've been caught.

Don't try to play it smart. And stop trying to cause drama. I never said that the "other pop girls" are "local" and I don't give a **** what you think about what I said or not.
Rush-releasing an album isn't a good idea and I'm glad that she's at least pulling with those stats, it could have been worse. People can't afford paying yearly that much, I'm sure her fanbase have bought Loud, the singles, and gone to her concert.
'Loud' shows her worldwide selling power considering it sold only 1.4m in the US and 6m worldwide. Most of Beyonce and Britney's sales come from the US.
I'm done.

And have you seen the WW peaks for TTT so far? Oh girl.
|
The sad thing is that Beyonce grosses more outside the US

Ummmm, the UK and US are where most of the sales will come from though. I bet she hovers between 450k-500k globally watch and see.

These debuts in the #20-30 are only with 3 days of sales. You mad?

Nickelback must have a lot of fans who have no option but paying money for the physical album. But whatever.
Good job on that top 3 debut, Rihanna.

She sold less than 200k in the biggest market, during Black Friday. That's what we are talking about: sales in the US.
You can keep tracking sales from Zimbabwe and not a single thing will change that fact.
|
Well the US have clearly never been here for her albums
She has the UK to compensate that

She only promoted once for TTT. Pretty sure Britney did more than that. But let's not make this about her.

I'm sure having a number 1 smash single is considered promo. Lets not forget the discount for black friday & everything.
Clearly the queen of no promo is Britney.

No one is trying to start drama but you and that's why several people quoted you. Rihanna's fanbase in general isn't any bigger WW than the rest of the girls. The fact that she can't go overseas and gross over $100 million in tours while the other girls CAN prove that. I'm pretty sure FF/BTW/4 have sold more outside of the US, so your argument is pointless. Stop clinging to the UK and the fact LOUD 6 mil. She is not guaranteed to sell that on every future album. Rihanna stans are a mess.

Barely any promo? Sweetie, she has the #1 SONG IN THE COUNTRY. That alone is enough to sell 250k first week, and WITH Black Christmas and the amount of followers she spammed on Twitter, she should have done at least 600k-700k.

This is just a classic example why an artist like Rihanna really doesn't have the luxury of
taking a break, because the moment she's off the scene, it's like she was never there.
She doesn't leave an impact and her singles always leaves the public wanting
something more from her that she can never deliver. It's disappointing and
almost sad, really. Six albums in and nothing to show for it but some
successful singles with no lasting impact.
