I think it's clear that Britney Spears and her team are not worried about awards. If Britney Spears or her label REALLY want awards (Grammy, AMA, EMA, etc.) then Britney Spears would HAVE them. It's all about campaigning for awards and buying awards. Apparently that's not a priority for Britney Spears or her label, so she is never nominated. But clearly, Britney Spears music is on a different level than her contemporaries, and awards don't prove that, because the music speaks for itself.

How many times are ya'll gonna learn. The grammys work like this: Talent + Creativity + Innovation, then comes critical acclaim or success. But those three are always the most important, and the reason that people like Esperanza win ****.

Because it is Best New Artist, not most popular.

Christina has, and always will be, the superior artist in the rivalry. What she lacks in popularity or sales, she's always made up for in talent and that is why the Grammys use her and not tha other girl.

Any way, I never really cared much about Grammys, it's nice when one of your faves win one but for the most part the Grammys has always been neither here nor there with me, artists who you think would have more Grammys than they do have less than they should, like Madonna for example who only has about 5 I believe and some of them aren't even in major categories. Janet Jackson should also have more than she does, some artists boycott it all together and basically don't show up anymore and just ignore it all together. I feel like Mariah is one of them. Celine is another artists who should have more Grammys than she currently has.

I agree. Britney Spears is a great dancer and a decent vocalist. I only know that because I've seen performances and watched tapes of her actually singing singing. If I only listened to her records, I'd have no idea that she has talent.
