The most radical change on the album was the image. It's not like the songs didn't bear the trademark Rihanna sound and hooks. Rude Boy hit 150M+ AI for christ's sake, and it still didn't sell ****.

But there's no RETURNING to hitmakers for her. The only reason she was paired with RedOne in the first place was, in his own words, because he wasn't successful and was down at the level of working with an unsigned artist like her.
Gaga is in a different lane from the Katys and Ke$has and Britneys and Rihannas.

I can't speak for the rest of the navy but I could careless if she reaches #1. The album out now can't no other pop gurl do it like Rih. She has so much versatility and true talent.
Why does it say SCREWED from the #1 album. hell even her stans knew that she wasn't going to go #1 against Nickleback. I'm more surprised that she is predicted in beating Daughtry and Mary. Maybe not Mary because she hasn't had a HUGE single like The One or Be Without You…

Label or not, Gaga has sold more. RiRi's label reports 30 million, other sources say 20 million. It is a FACT that Lady Gaga has sold more than 20 million albums.

Rihanna grouped in with Katy and Kesha. Sweetie, have a seat. Rihanna murders every pop girl in various territories with minimal promotion.
And BTW didnt sell NEARLY as much as true blue and probably wont for a long time so that comparison......
If you're going to debate with me then understand the music industry, sis. Those were in the 80s. Albums back then sold MUCH more then they do now. It's because of the digital era and iTunes and illegal downloading. Don't even try that one on me.
And you're missing the point. Born This Way may not be as successful as her initial debut, but her next album could be a shining moment and do even better.
