I am honestly so sick of Rihanna. It's not even that I dislike her music or the songs that she's on. It's that she's featured on EVERY song by every artist imaginable and is the go-to hook singer for rap songs. I understand that she has a distinct voice and all, but it's not very unique or a novelty when it is heard literally everywhere. I don't even dislike Rihanna, but I'm getting sick of "her" music, when in most cases it's not really "hers" if you know what I mean.

In any case, I have always found the US as a whole to have much inferior taste in music than most other countries. You need not look any further than the fact that Katy Perry has multiple #1's here but not really anywhere else. I lose faith in my country quite often. I guess it bothers me that, at any point, Gaga could potentially just make meaningless, generic pop music but actively chooses not to and is sort of punished for it on the charts.
