Is anyone else wondering how the hell Rihanna's current songs WFL and YDO are so damn succesful? I'm actually afraid that Gaga won't be able to keep up with Rihanna, which is just horrible considering that Gaga spent so much more time and put so much more effort into her album than Rihanna. Also, Rihanna's team is amazing right now, Haus of Gaga and the Gaga's label is seriously hurting right now.

I Know that The Fame is garbage, it's terrible. But the fact that you think it's ok to Lady Gaga become an indie artist, it's just She can make an epic album with hits (see TFM). But she needs to open her eyes and get that extra-talentend-blowyamind Gaga back. I think that she will

EDIT: plus, you find bad that I prefer her to become respected for her artistry and her music just like Bjork instead of her having massive success with things like LFN or Tik-Tok (just to mention some examples)?
|
The singles sales are just a litte part of the problem, it's not about that, it's about popularity. For example, see You and I/BTW views on youtube, thats what i'm talking about.

That is my point. I'm ****ing pressed because of TalkThatTalk and the fact that this album is gonna make Rihanna's popularity even higher. If she gets more popular than Gaga, I'm seriously gonna lose my mind...

It's already happened -- Gaga can't keep up with her anymore. How? Rihanna smartly builds on her past successes and nurtures her brand instead of damaging it. When she started losing digital power and popularity during Rated R (which was only a little riskier than her past eras), she didn't waste a SECOND and jumped on fixing the problem.
Rihanna does nothing - and I mean NOTHING - herself. She lets the pros handle it from start to finish.
It's not rocket science: hot songs, hot videos, hot looks.

Well lets be honest, the Haus is just a massive **** show at this point and has been for quite some time. Who is the new creative director and is she gonna keep Richard? like wtf is going on

Still, BTW>>>TFM, at least for me. And that's all what matters to me. Yes, I'm starting to know more about this unnecessary thing called iTunes and how it works more or less, but I will never put that above music quality. And if I ever do, kill me, because that's stupid.

But would you be happy if Gaga did that? That's why i'm confused sometimes, I really don't want her to become Rihanna/Katy Perry

Rihanna can't even get a lead single with a lot of pre-release airplay to #1 as quickly as Gaga. I don't think Gaga's situation is really that dire.

And, THIS. Don't you people have something more important to worry about, like your work, your studies, your husband, your kids, your house, your money? Does your life depend on the success on the success of Gaga or any other popstar? I don't understand this excessive and unnecessary competition between artists. It's becoming worse than sports competition (which is also unnecessary).

but YDO will have a much bigger impact because of the backlash....
i never thought it was a bad choice, BUT we all know she leaked that **** herself and it was in holy week....

Gaga has a much more rabid fanbase... Rihanna has greater appeal to the general public. She is not offensive to anyone.

She already is more popular than Lady GaGa. But these things come in waves; GaGa was hotter than RIhanna in 2008/2009. MTN was never going to go to #1, but a top 10 peak is totally appropriate for the song.

That (BTW's climb to #1) was when Gaga followed 2 eras that shat on Rihanna's existence. The next era won't be like that...

Yup. I don't want a sexy pop star as my fave though.

This is just straight up sad. I've actually tried justifying the fact that this era has been pretty unsuccesful, but if you can't keep up with your contemporaries then what the **** are you doing?
I'm also sick of Gaga actually looking unattractive and just over the top half of the time. Beyonce and Rihanna manage to look flawless in videos, which is really why I've given more consideration to listening 4. The imagery is top of the line. Rihanna's team are branding geniuses as well.
BTW is actually my favorite Gaga album, but it's pisses me off at how much it's ****ing itself over. COME ON.

I never thought I'd say this not even 1/2 of a year after a release, but she should just release Scheiße & possibly HML. Then, end the era. We all need to move on. There's so much negativity. She needs to refresh & so do we as fans. She needs to come back late 2012 with an 8-track & SMASH. Can we all agree?
EDIT: I'm still confident for the rest of this era as far as the music goes, but the meltdowns? Dear heavens,

I don't get the constant meltdowns.
Marry The Night is off to a strong start, so I don't get what people are pressed about.
You're all such bandwagoners
