Funny thing is, I wasn't obsessed with music in 2009, and I thought anything midtempo or lower was boring (save for a few songs) and only dance-y songs were good, so upon first listen, will.i.am's verse in "Photographs" was one of my favourite parts of the album. Oh, how my music taste has changed (for the better).

I feel the same way. Lyrically, the song is amazing. Hell, even the beat is great. But his voice on it ruins it. I get what they were going for with the song, but it would have been much better with any other male artist on it (minus Ne-Yo, of course). Kanye would have been perfect for the song, actually. He would fit in with the dark theme of the album, since his verses aren't usually bubbly and happy.
I know what you mean.

When I first heard "Photographs", it was one of my favorites. But after the album sat on repeat for a couple of weeks, it quickly became my least favorite. I can see the same thing happening with some of the Talk That Talk songs.
