It doesn't matter if Paula Abdul was more successful than Toni internationally. My point is, Paula failed to meet the impact, longevity and influence that Madonna and Janet had, the same way Toni was an afterthought compared to Whitney and Mariah, two artists she was heavily pitted against.

Ya'll are really showing your age. From ~'88 - '92, Paula was bigger than Mariah, Whitney, and Madonna. Paula was one of the biggest acts of that time. The only female that was bigger than her during that time was Janet.
