I do feel like all popstars are manufactured to some degree. They have to be. You aren't going to sell records on your music alone sans special cases such as Adele, but I do believe her image has something to do with her being "foreign". The typical popstar needs an image and sound for the average consumer to buy into. That's why basic bitches flop.

That is true, all commercial pop stars are manufactured to a certain degree but it's the fact that one can tell that she's so manufactured, it's blatantly obvious. It wouldn't be a problem if the talent was there and she was delivering her A-game consistently, but she never does. And the fact that she's been out for 6 years now going on 7 with little to no improvement says a lot.

Rihanna has a great team behind her, the problem isn't them, it's her.

I know, right? And the funny part is that she's co-written atleast 20 songs in her career thus far. And we don't have the Talk That Talk album credits yet, so we don't know what all she contributed to it yet.

Rihanna wrote more songs in her career than Whitney Houston and Tina Turner - combined.
