I feel so disconnected from Lady GaGa's career lately. I haven't been talking about her since the Yoü & I video came out (except for the occasional instance of discussion).
Yoü & I is one of my favorites from BTW, but I haven't heard her on the radio in months except for the INCREDIBLY overplayed The Edge of Glory (one would think it had been a monster hit with how much I hear it to this day - I hear it like 3X more than I do Yoü & I). I heard Yoü & I once late at night & once in the car & that's about it. I feel like it would be a rare treat to hear it.
Marry the Night is one of my least favorites on BTW. I need it to grow on me, because I feel like it can.
Happy birthday! I wish I was 17 again... (or not )
I just noticed that I think I have listened to Born This Way from start to finish every day since its release. I don't think I've ever done that with an album.
And at Gaga's submissions. A mess, she won't have good chances.
I hope this one will have a chance at least, even though she could've submitted the HBO Monster Ball if she had released it earlier.
i have a theory on this era:
gaga's purposely flopping with Edge of Stairs and giving up on Judas so easily, weird standard cover, grammy submissions, the list goes on!,
all in order to fall and rise all over again?

I wouldn't say anything about her chances too quickly, I can see the Grammy committee eating up Yoü & I. The lyrics and vocals are flawless on the track and it has more of a 'serious' tone to it than the average Lady Gaga song, which definitely helps her chances.
I do think BTW should've been submitted to ROTY & SOTY though. Don't know what Interscope was thinking with that one.
I think Interscope/Gaga released YAI as single b/c they planned to submit it to Grammy from the start. Maybe it was planned to be the third single, but the Judas/TEOG mess happened.

So she's pulling a Christina but with a lesser definition of a flop? Hmmmnnn....

Just my thought.
well .. i just think that YAI is released because of grammy
