Does Adele Have Longevity?
Can Adele truly maintain American interest with future albums and singles?
Or is she a fad and the definition of the "it" girl.

I don't think so, she was basically irrelevant during her 19 era. And we know how fickle people can be, look how they did Leona, BEP, Miley, Rihanna (after GGGB), and the list goes on.

Her next album? Most definitely. I feel like she'll have the success Norah Jones had. Even if it does not compare to 21 (which I doubt it might), her next album will most likely sell very nicely.

She'll be able to sell the next album off of hype alone. After that, I'm not sure.

Yes she does, her music reaches people on a much broader scale. I don't think her future albums will sell as big as '21' but she's def. here to stay, much to the dismay of others who think other wise. They're upset because she's destroying their faves effortlessly.

This "fad" thing has been beat to death, so I won't go much into it. I just don't have the energy. I would just say that anything is possible. No one has a crystal ball, and she could form a strong following unlike some folks similar to her. I just want her to take more care of her voice.

She's here for the long run...
She relies on her talent instead of current trends like the other lessors...

Yes. She'll be around for years and years. I see her having Sade-like longevity/respect, but with even bigger sales/impact.
The only thing that will stand in her way is this vocal problem. That could become a major issue. What's special about her is that unlike EVERY popular artist right now, she's ONLY here because of her voice. If that gets damaged...

She'll last for awhile, and her next albums will continue to sell very well.
What I'm not sure about is if she'll continue to have mega-smash singles or not.

Adele will have a long, successful career. She's well respected, commercially successful, and has nothing to genuinely hate about her. Adele is the singer that stands out in recent memory that has such a strong vocal talent but is successful to the same audience/radio stations that play the likes of Kesha, Britney, etc.
Her next album will do phenomenally well off the heels of 21, and I'm sure she will take that opportunity to expand herself to either new genres, a new sound or subject matter. But honestly, even if she doesn't, she will still do well. She has so much respect. I don't understand why someone couldn't like her. You either can't relate to her music or just aren't into her genre.

She will have huge first week sales but overall she will never have the same success as this year
and then I can see her having a long career but moderate success, mainly in the UK

Rihanna after GGGB is the equivilanet of Beyonce now so HUSH.
BEP is doing fine, but their album sales are lower, because people didnt want to buy Will's autotuned album.

What is a "Leona Lewis," though? She already surpassed everything Leona ever was, tbh. Leona was "Bleeding Love" and "X-Factor." That's basically it. I think her closest comparison could be either Sade (like Nicole suggested) OR Alanis Morrisette. It could go either way.

Leona Lewis never touched people like Adele. People loved her SONG Bleeding Love. I never got the impression anyone really cared about HER. In Adele's case, people relate to her songs and to HER, they connect to her heartache, they feel as though she's voicing their actual experiences. Even if you hate Adele I'm surprised you don't see the difference.
