**** me, guys, we don't even know if this is real and we're already saying she won't win a Grammy? Everyone is thinking far too much into this. Adele has had a huge year, but she has received the same amount of critical acclaim as Gaga, and I think you'll agree (given Arcade Fire and Esperanza's wins last year) that the Grammy panel isn't blinded by commercial success. 21 hasn't been the commercial/critical steam-train that Come Away With Me or Back to Black was. Wait and see what happens. I could be very wrong, but I think people may be in for a surprise.
It's real and it's really not thinking too far. Adele will sweep because she sings "serious" music and the Grammys are a "serious" awards show. (I'm being facetious, obviously, but that's their mentality).
21 is both commercial + critically acclaimed.
I can't believe people really believe Gaga will sweep this year. I'll be happy to eat my words, but I just don't see this realistically happening.
Ok... I posted this on Twitter, but I figured I'd share it here too.
Interscope is gunning hard for Album of the Year. The Grammy's always like to split up who wins ROTY/SOTY and AOTY. They purposefully submitted flops so that she scores the AOTY win.
The last person to get AOTY noms 3 years in a row was Barbra and she won the third year!
IMAGINE THE MELTDOWNS!
I hope this is true.
but, apart from ROTY i think her submissions are actually on point. GaGa delivers more as a songwritter in Judas and You and I. Her vocals are pretty good in both of them as well.
I would have submitted TEOG and BTW for ROTY but that would be all.
I pray for Gagasm`s candles that we will get 5/6 nominations and 2/3 wins.

See my post above...
Also, "21" is noted to have quite a bit of filler.
ALSO ALSO - she'll prob win ROTY/SOTY for Rolling in the Deep and Grammy's like to split those up from AOTY.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Gaga will sweep. I just don't think Adele will either. The last albums to properly sweep were BTB and CAWM, and 21 isn't nearly as critically successful as those. Take, for example, Rolling Stone, probably the most influential music magazine, who gave 21 an average review.
I actually think Adele has ****ed up her chances with all of these cancellations.
"4" doesn't stand a chance - I love it, but it doesn't.
And MBDTF is too old + the Grammy's don't like Kanye.
Her main competition is herself and Tony Bennett.
You don`t think 4 has a chance?? I think it will be nominated for AOTY. It delivers with great lyrics, prodution and vocals. And we can never forget that the Grammys love Beyonce. I think GaGa will get her nomination here.
I also think You and I will have nominations for SOTY and Pop. Born This Way will be nominated for best pop album and shot film. I think this will be GaGa`a nomination. Maybe 1 more with Tony.

I think it'll get nominated, but I don't think it's a strong enough album to win.
Not to mention, she's already won an AOTY award, hasn't she? They don't give them out to the same artist very often.

51st Grammy Awards:
Record of the Year
"Please Read the Letter" - Robert Plant & Alison Krauss
Album of the Year
Raising Sand - Robert Plant & Alison Krauss
It's not out of the realm of possibility. I feel like you guys are trying to convince yourselves that Interscope has this grand scheme. It's a stretch, IMO.
Well I do think that Judas and You and I were the smartest choices for Song of The Year because the lyrics are some of her best. But if Record of The Year is for production, I think The Edge of Glory should have been nominated for that. But whatevs, I'm just excited for the nominations!
